What it's about

Stinz 13 -- Family Values -- Meet Stinz's other two children. In "Hit or Miss" Siim, the girl who went to live with an aunt when Stinz came back from The War in a very foul mood. To a delicate child, these brutal military manners, absent-mindedness and short temper can seem like unbearable abuse. In "Baby Games" we're there for the birth of Reet, the daughter who is more like her big black sire than any of his other children. By now Stinz's temper has mellowed and sweetened -- and the irony is that it's the willful, fearless and wild Reet who doesn't have to stand up to a neglectful sire .'Indian Giver" is the rough of an unfinished story about literature children should never have been reading. "I''ve drawn a few centaurs in my life, but Donna has created a whole universe of snappy, witty, complicated (not to mention crabby) characters with a fascinating history. What will this woman do next?" -- Cathy Hill, Mad "Raccoons."

Stinz is the story of a centaur, although he'd prefer it if you called him a Half-horse. Stinz is a big blond stallion, black as night on the hair end, whose excellent animal instincts and fine human brain too often cancel each other out. In a series that follows his life from clumsy colt and accidental soldier to legendary war hero and mayor of his small home town, Stinz never fails to be in the middle of his world's events. It's not OUR world, but what difference does that make?
