Nice debut issue of a new set of characters in the ABC universe – and it’s free, so no excuses for not giving it a try. Since the main character is 15 years old, there’s significantly less nudity in this than a typical ABC comic, but the story is just as strong. I particularly liked the yuurei ghostbusting segment in chapter 2. My only gripe is that the setting never really feels like Japan to me, though it’s at least better than some comics that think everyone in Japan wears kimonos, is a martial arts expert, and is constantly being harassed by hordes of ninja. And at least the random background writing on signs and whatnot is actually Japanese and not just made-up scribbles — the “greasy spoon” ramen shop they eat at is called “Dogfood” LOL.
