I’ve gotta wonder how Tamiko, Mitsuki, and Jin-Ho made it out of that orphanage, since most orphans in Japan are raised institutionally until released on their own at age 18. Of course, the orphanage is said to be in a prefecture that doesn’t exist, so maybe that’s a fictitious place where they got released into foster care or something. Also, do all three of them live in that 1LDK apartment? I hope at least one of them sleeps on the couch – or maybe they’re more than just good friends 😉
It’s not a deal-breaker for me by any means, but the un-Japaneseness of the setting and story make me wish that this took place in a Japantown/Chinatown in America where it might feel a bit more natural to me. Ignoring that, it’s still a fun comic.
